ELECTRON DESKTOP · LOCAL PROJECTS

One project.
Tools to work it out.

Crimson is an early engineering workbench for editing project files, running Python and 2D mechanics, building primitive CAD models, and solving circuits with ngspice. Projects and run data stay in regular local folders.

01 / CURRENT WORKBENCH

Tools for the
next question.

Six tool tabs sit beside a project browser and inspector; Console, Timeline, and the integrated terminal live in the bottom dock. Simulation runs are saved as JSON under the project.

01

Python IDE

Run and save scripts in a persistent local Python session.

02

Text Editor

Edit and save project source and text files; run Python in the IDE.

03

CAD Modeler

Create box and cylinder solids with exact millimetre dimensions; export STL.

04

2D Physics

Solve projectile motion or independent planar rigid bodies with forces and torque.

05

Circuit Studio

Wire V/R/L/C components and run transient analysis through ngspice.

06

Planning Canvas

Edit, connect, import, and save project workflow maps.

07

Integrated Terminal

Open a shell in the selected project folder.

Python and terminal commands run locally with your user permissions; they are not sandboxed.

02 / CURRENT SCOPE

One project.
Tools stay specific.

Crimson is an early Electron prototype that groups project files and focused tools in one workspace. Python, SciPy, ngspice, and JSCAD each handle the jobs they are built for.

CURRENT LIMITS
